Federal Budget 2022-23 – October edition!

Last night, the Treasurer Jim Chalmers handed down the new Government’s 2022-23 Federal Budget, and Labor’s first Budget in ten years.

In what’s being sold as a “Cost of Living” Budget, there are precious few measures which will have a positive impact on the cost of living for Australians.

Included in last night’s Budget is that the ATO is receiving an additional $1.825 billion to spend on their Personal Income Tax Compliance Program, their Shadow Economy Program, and the Tax Avoidance Taskforce. Treasury is expecting to raise $5.583 billion from these measures.
